About Us

Fischer Physical Therapy was created in 2004 with Matthew Fischer's vision of providing exceptional physical therapy service in a supportive setting. Since opening in the Power Block Building, the size of both staff and space has doubled to better meet the needs of the Helena community.

Introductions are now in order for the amazing staff assembled at Fischer Physical Therapy. We thank God for the unique synergy of gifts in this "second family" which comprise the heart of our service.

Matthew S. Fischer, MSPT

Matthew S. Fischer, MSPT, received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000 from the University of Montana. He has practiced in Helena since that time in outpatient orthopedic settings exclusively. In 2004, Matthew set out to establish Fischer Physical Therapy with emphasis on quality care and superior results. Matthew's approach is biased toward specialized hands-on techniques, while progressing each client toward independent management with gentle exercise. In 2005, Matthew became 1 of 50 therapists in the U.S. to complete advanced training in Primal Reflex Release Technique.

Shortly thereafter, he qualified to become an instructor for this approach to healing and has taught courses throughout the Northwest. Matthew emphasizes a whole body approach to healing that integrates many types of therapeutic interventions. He continues to develop many innovative applications using both manual techniques and exercise. Chronic pain related to the spine and muscles/joints are his greatest interest. Matthew finds great fulfillment with his faith, family, and an active lifestyle on a small farm outside Helena and the great outdoors.

Bobbie Bliss Rasmann, MSPT

Bobbie Bliss Rasmann, MSPT, received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1993 from Texas Woman's University. Bobbie practiced in the Phoenix metro area for 13 years before moving to Helena with her husband and two children. Most of her clinical focus has been in outpatient orthopedics, emphasizing hands-on treatments and patient education for prevention of re-injury. Areas of specialty include shoulder rehabilitation, SIJ dysfunction, cervical pain and headache treatment.

Due to her experience working in a variety of clinical settings while practicing in Arizona, Bobbie feels confident treating individuals with a wide range of diagnoses. Bobbie encourages patient involvement in the therapy plan of care to optimize positive outcomes. When not caring for patients in the clinic, Bobbie enjoys spending time with her family doing activities in the great outdoors playground of Montana.

Janet Bauer, Office Manager, HIPPA Officer

Janet Bauer has worked at Fischer Physical Therapy since December 2004. Janet is the Office Manager. In addition to ensuring the office runs smoothly, she handles the Work Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident accounts.

Nancy is our Billing Specialist. Nancy has been with Fischer Physical Therapy since September 2004. She handles our patient accounts, which includes billing claims to insurance companies and preparing patient statements. Nancy is here throughout the week and specifically on Thursdays from 10:00 am to noon to respond to any billing questions.

Mary Cleveland, Support Staff

Mary Cleveland has worked at Fischer Physical Therapy since September 2006. Mary is the Patient Care Coordinator. Mary's gift to our clinic is her amazing ability to give quality care and to make our patients feel welcome before, during, and after their rehabilitation with us.

Kelly Fischer, Support Staff

Kelly is the financial guru for the clinic. She keeps track of all the books and financial statements for the clinic. Kelly also takes on small tasks for the clinic as they arise. Kelly and Matthew have 3 daughters and 1 son that keep her running all over town!
